Celebrity Cruises doesn’t have traditional formal nights, but they do offer Evening Chic nights on most sailings. This is a more modern take on formalwear, where guests are encouraged to dress stylishly without the need for tuxedos or ball gowns. Think cocktail dresses, smart shirts, jackets, or elegant evening outfits. It’s the perfect excuse to dress up a little and enjoy a special night onboard - especially if you're dining in one of Celebrity’s fine dining venues.

Celebrity Cruises isn't fully all inclusive, but most sailings now offer an All Included fare option. This typically covers a Classic Drinks Package and basic Wi-Fi, helping you enjoy your holiday without worrying about extra charges. If you're sailing in The Retreat, you'll get upgraded to Premium Drinks and Premium Wi-Fi. However, gratuities are no longer included in the All Included package, so they’ll either need to be paid onboard or added separately when booking. Extras like speciality dining, spa treatments, and shore excursions are also available at an additional cost.

As a guide Celebrity Cruises charges a daily gratuity of $18 per guest for Inside, Oceanview, and Balcony staterooms, $18.50 for Concierge Class and AquaClass®, and $23 for guests staying in The Retreat. These service charges go towards the hardworking crew members who help make your cruise experience exceptional - from your stateroom attendant to the dining room staff.

Can I remove gratuities on Celebrity Cruises?
Gratuities are automatically added to your onboard account, but if you prefer, you can visit Guest Services during your cruise to adjust or remove them. That said, most cruisers choose to keep them in place as a way of showing appreciation for the crew's outstanding service. If you’ve pre-paid your gratuities as part of your cruise fare or a promotion, no further charges will apply.

Yes, Celebrity Cruises allows each guest aged 21 or over to bring up to two bottles of wine or champagne (750ml each) onboard at the start of their cruise. This must be carried in your hand luggage during embarkation. Any additional bottles or spirits will be held by the crew and returned at the end of your voyage. If you choose to drink your own wine in a restaurant or bar, a corkage fee applies. Beer, spirits, and other forms of alcohol cannot be brought onboard. It’s a great perk for you to enjoy a favourite bottle with a view from your balcony.

Standard cabins on Celebrity Cruises do not come with tea and coffee making facilities, which can be a surprise for some UK cruisers. However, complimentary tea and coffee are available 24 hours a day from the Oceanview Café and other onboard venues. Guests staying in Concierge Class, AquaClass®, or The Retreat will usually enjoy additional in-room amenities, and some suite categories may include a kettle or Nespresso machine. If a cuppa in your cabin is a must, it’s worth upgrading or simply heading to one of the lounges for a fresh brew anytime.

Most Celebrity Cruise ships are fitted with US 110V and European 220V plug sockets, so UK guests will need to bring a UK to US or UK to EU adaptor. Many staterooms also feature USB charging ports, especially on newer ships like Celebrity Beyond and Celebrity Apex. Hairdryers are provided in all cabins, so there’s no need to pack your own. If you're travelling with multiple devices, consider bringing a multi-port USB charger to make life even easier.
