Immediate Media Live and Princess Cruises have teamed up to launch the first Good Food Show at Sea. This culinary event, traditionally held on land, is set to debut on the luxurious Sky Princess, with a 14-night cruise from Southampton to Spain and Portugal from November 2-16, 2024. The 3,660-passenger ship will be transformed into a haven for food enthusiasts, featuring cooking demos by celebrity chefs, tastings, cocktail classes, and interactive workshops.
What Does The Cruise Entail?
The event will bring to life the content of the popular food magazine and website. Guests will enjoy classic Good Food dishes, meet culinary stars, participate in Q&A sessions, and have exclusive dining experiences, including book signings. The journey also includes stops at renowned food destinations, offering local culinary experiences like pintxos bars in Bilbao and pastel de nata tastings in Lisbon.

A hugely popular and influential figure on the UK culinary circuit, John Torode MBE is best known as the straight-talking co-host and judge of BBC1’s MasterChef, and Celebrity MasterChef. He is also a regular guest chef on ITV’s This Morning. John and his wife Lisa Faulkner co-host the top-rating John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen. John started his cooking career at the age of 16, before moving to the UK and joining the Conran Group. He went on to run his own successful restaurants Smiths Of Smithfield & The Luxe. John’s indisputable passion for the industry is infectious and he was awarded an MBE in 2022 for services to Food, Broadcast & Charity. A well-known food writer, his cookery books and writings have all received huge critical acclaim.
Lisa Faulkener
Lisa first established herself as a leading actor starring in numerous high profile TV dramas, including Holby City, Spooks and Dangerfield. In 2010, Lisa won BBC1′s Celebrity MasterChef and has since gone on a remarkable food journey. For the last 4 years, Lisa’s cookery show on ITV, John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen, has been inspiring audiences most weekend mornings. Lisa is also a regular contributor to ITV’s Lorraine. Lisa’s first cookery book, Recipes from My Mother for My Daughter, was published in 2012 and became an instant bestseller. Lisa has presented several TV programmes, including This Morning, Heir Hunters, and What’s Cooking? with Ben Shepherd. Lisa is highly sought after for live demonstrations at food events and festivals, including BBC Good Food, The Cake & Bake Show, and the Ideal Home Show. Lisa supports numerous charities that are close to her heart, including Adoption UK, Grief Encounters, and Something To Look Forward To. Lisa lives in North London with her husband, daughter Billie, and dog Rory.
Gennaro Contaldo
Born in Minori on the Amalfi Coast, Gennaro Contaldo is widely known as the Italian legend who taught Jamie Oliver all that he knows about his homeland’s national cuisine. As a regular on the Good Food Show stage, Contaldo is well prepped to teach it to attendees too.
Contaldo’s TV credits include the popular series Jamie Cooks Italy, where he introduced Oliver to several Italian nonnas and featured their many shared recipes, and BBC2’s Two Greedy Italians alongside the late, great Antonio Carluccio. He also regularly appears as the Italian food expert and main guest chef on BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen and Channel 4’s Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast and Jamie’s Christmas. Contaldo has also written more than 10 cookery books, selling over 100,000 copies.
