At the heart of every Seabourn expedition is the commitment to providing authentic, personalised experiences. This is made possible by the remarkable 23-person Expedition Team, a select group of academics, scientists, and naturalists, all experts in their fields and just as passionate about exploration as our guests. Their knowledge and enthusiasm enhance every aspect of the journey, whether you’re learning about remote regions, spotting wildlife, or engaging in cultural experiences.

What truly sets these voyages apart is the intimate interaction between guests and the Expedition Team. From whale-watching in the Bow Lounge to attending fascinating lectures, such as those on Papua New Guinea’s traditional Sing-Sings, these expeditions offer a rich tapestry of experiences. And it’s not just during formal activities; you’ll find plenty of opportunities to connect in a more relaxed setting, whether dining together in the Colonnade or swapping stories in the Expedition Lounge.

These informal moments, combined with the more structured experiences, create a unique atmosphere where luxury meets adventure, making Seabourn Expeditions an unforgettable way to explore some of the world’s most remote and captivating regions.

2026-2027 Highlights

Seabourn’s two purpose-built exploration vessels are set to visit up to 130 destinations across 24 countries, offering 20 unique sailings with 42 departures. These meticulously crafted itineraries provide unparalleled opportunities for adventure and discovery, all while maintaining the ultra-luxury experience that Seabourn is known for.

Seabourn Pursuit will spend the year exploring the Southern Hemisphere, from the vibrant islands of the South Pacific to the rugged beauty of Western Australia’s Kimberley Coast. She will then venture further south to explore the remote and awe-inspiring regions of Antarctica, South Georgia, and the Falkland Islands.

Meanwhile, Seabourn Venture will embark on spectacular expeditions in the Northern Hemisphere during the summer months, exploring Arctic locations such as Iceland, Greenland, Labrador, and the British Isles. These voyages range from 10 to 14 days, offering a variety of in-depth explorations. Later in the year, Seabourn Venture will join her sister ship in navigating the iconic Drake Passage, taking guests on unforgettable journeys to Antarctica, South Georgia, and the Falkland Islands.

For those seeking a truly epic adventure, Seabourn Pursuit will sail on a remarkable 82-day combination voyage, “Across Three Continents: Oceania to Antarctica.” This journey, departing on 2nd September 2026 from Broome, Australia, offers the chance to explore an incredible range of destinations across the world.

Additionally, Seabourn Venture will also embark on several non-expedition voyages in the Mediterranean and across the Atlantic, adding even more variety to Seabourn’s already diverse offerings.

Included On A Seabourn Expedition

Most expedition experiences and excursions are included in the cruise fare, with no need to pre-book them in advance. While there may be instances where guests must choose between different offerings, the aim is to allow everyone to fully immerse themselves in each destination. Due to the flexible nature of expedition cruising, these experiences cannot be confirmed through MyAccount or within the itinerary. Instead, they are announced onboard during the Expedition Leader’s daily briefing.

Included expedition experiences often feature:

  • Guided Walks and Hikes: Guests can explore communities or trek through breathtaking landscapes, escorted by the knowledgeable Expedition Team, who will share insights along the way.
  • Cultural Tours & Events: Specially curated in collaboration with local communities and operators, guests can visit landmarks, museums, and cultural institutions. These tours often include cultural exchanges or performances, offering a deep connection with local traditions and people.
  • Snorkelling: Snorkelling gear is provided, though guests may wish to bring their own wetsuits or rash guards (as they are not provided). As masks are a personal item, bringing your own is also recommended for comfort.
  • Zodiac Tours: These 90-120 minute scenic cruises, guided by a skilled Zodiac driver and a naturalist, offer the chance to observe and learn about the natural history, wildlife, and environment of remote locations. Zodiacs provide a unique opportunity to get close to treacherous shorelines, towering glaciers, and wildlife in hard-to-reach places.
  • Zodiac Landings: Zodiacs are used as tenders, enabling landings on beaches, rocky outcrops, or even sea ice in areas with no infrastructure. These landings offer a true expedition experience, often in some of the world’s most remote and untouched environments.

Please note that not all expedition experiences are available on every itinerary.
